The organization “Women Go Tech” is an NGO whose mission is to guide women toward careers in tech. The organization was founded in Vilnius, Lithuania, by two organizations – Infobalt and Global Shapers (an
initiative of the World Economic Forum) in response to the situation in the country where women are
underrepresented in the ICT sector, and where there is a lack of leaders and ambassadors in the sector.
We are helping women enter the sector by utilizing mentoring sessions led by business professionals,
providing tech content, organizing events, and fostering a multi-layered community. We are a strong partner
for the business sector, helping women understand the sector’s needs and requirements.
Our key objectives for the next year are to:
1. Expand our reach through strategic partnerships & enhance community engagement.
2. Launch a regional mentorship program, drive employment & economic growth.
3. Empower the community through AI upskilling.
4. Ensure financial stability.
5. Foster effective cross-border collaboration.
6. Boost visibility and thought leadership.
THE CHALLENGE
Expanding our program into the broader CEE region and attracting partners from countries beyond Lithuania.
OUR SOLUTION
At the beginning of 2025, we merged with the Polish organization DareIT, allowing us to unite our strengths.
OUTCOME
This merger strengthened our presence in Poland and provided access to new potential partners and community members. By bringing our communities together, we now support a combined network of over 70,000 members and we have secured 6 partnership contracts with companies from Poland.
KEY TAKEAWAYS
This challenge prompted us to expand our team and hire team members based in Poland. This decision was made to fully support both the international and Lithuanian communities, enable in-person events, and reduce language barriers, as the DareIT community was accustomed to programs delivered in Polish.
Rapid community growth highlighted the need to automate our operations as much as possible and review our existing toolset to ensure a high-quality participant experience while enabling the team to provide effective support.
