This educational self-assessment tool is designed for educational institutions that want to better understand and develop students’ competencies across different learning domains. It encourages educators and students to reflect on the learner’s current abilities, taking into account age group, learning environment, and the type of educational setting, whether it is mixed groups of girls and boys learning together, single-gender groups such as girls-only cohorts, or learning contexts that extend beyond the classroom and involve external stakeholders such as families, community partners, or industry representatives engaged through student-led activities.
Instructions for the tool usage:
As you go through the assessment, you should carefully consider each competency area and reflect on the student’s current level of performance. For each skill category, you will select the Bloom’s Taxonomy level that best describes the student’s demonstrated ability, ranging from remembering and understanding foundational knowledge, through applying and analyzing concepts in structured and unfamiliar situations, to evaluating and creating original solutions or products. Your responses should be based on realistic observation of the student’s performance in learning activities, projects, and applied tasks within their educational context. It is important to complete all sections of the assessment to ensure that the results are meaningful and accurately reflect the learner’s development profile. Once you complete the form and click Evaluate, the tool will automatically evaluate the student’s current competency level, compare it with the expected learning outcomes for their age group and target educational setting, and generate a structured overview of how closely the student’s skills align with the expected standard.
These results are not only descriptive but also developmental. They are intended to help educators and learners understand where the student currently stands in their learning journey and what steps are needed to progress further. Based on the evaluation, the tool will provide tailored recommendations that suggest appropriate learning activities.
