Creating greater impact for Women in Digital Role Models
We want to give the people shaping Europe’s inclusive digital future the strongest possible platform to share their stories, inspire others and receive the recognition they deserve.
We have been encouraged by the response to the Women in Digital Role Models initiative to rethink its scale and format, with greater ambition for its reach and impact.

As part of this change, we are closing the current 2026 nomination process and will no longer hold the celebration event scheduled for 16 November in Brussels.
To everyone who has submitted a nomination or encouraged others to take part: thank you! Your contributions are at the heart of what this initiative stands for, and we very much appreciate the time and care you have put into it.
We will contact everyone who has already submitted a nomination directly to explain what this means for their submission.
We understand that this change may be disappointing. So let us reassure you that the enthusiasm this initiative has generated has reinforced our intention to give women in digital an even bigger platform.
Our commitment remains the same: to celebrate women in digital and to help more women see a place for themselves in the sector. We will share further updates once next steps on promoting Women in Digital Role Models are confirmed.
